BIO
I was born in New York City, raised in New England, and moved to Berkeley, California to continue my art education at the San Francisco Art Institute (then the California School of Fine Art) and U.C. Berkeley where I earned an M.A. in painting. I received a B.A. in art history and painting from Brown University before studying briefly at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. By the end of my kindergarten year I knew I wanted to be an artist and was fortunate to attend an art-oriented high school. I work in multiple media including digital. Many of my photo based images become abstracted in the creation process and live in a mixed media, shallow space environment. I work with watercolor, graphite, oil pastel, collage, assemblage, and traditional and non-traditional printmaking processes. My work has been shown nationally and internationally and I have work in private and public collections.
